Hi - I usually glance at my Grocery receipt but last week I looked a little closer. I had purchased an "every day" special
of Chicken Tenders at $7 only to be charged $7.99.
Yesterday when I was in the same place, I bought some more and then advised the checkout of last weeks incorrect
pricing and the supervisor came to sort it and wasn't surprised at all. Very casual about it. And low and behold,
the same price came up again so for a week of selling, they gained an extra 99cents per item. They are popular so
a nice wee earner for New World.
So it does pay to check properly.

After 23 days, they've made any point they might have had & have managed to piss off most of the country thanks to some of the idiots among them who veer towards racism, & those who give every indication of being sorely in need of mental health help.
Once they made it clear that they weren't inclined to be reasonable & bugger off, it was just a matter of time before they were cleared out.

"A white, cloudy substance has been thrown on officers. At least three have been injured.
- A number of protesters have been affected by pepper spray. There are concerns for the wellbeing of children at the protest.
Live updates:
2.37pm: Police hold the same position as they clear Aitken and Hill streets, tow trucks are continuing to protester's tow vehicles.
1.55pm: Revisiting Police Commissioner Andrew Coster's stand-up from earlier. His full statement released just before 1.30pm reveals more of the offences protesters have been arrested for.
They include wilful damage, assaults police, possession of a weapon and refusing to provide identifying details.
Coster earlier said today's operation was brought on due to "an escalation in concerning behaviour" from those still present in Wellington."

We need to get the year right !
Ann Cleeves - gotta be good. We've all read Vera and Shetland...and watched the TV shows. I've stream Vera from Series 1 to whenever they let me see the latest. And Shetland too.
So she's got a new one...well, new for me, 2019. Two Rivers, the first book in the series is The Long Call. I got it out of the e library yesterday....and by the first couple of pages it's all sounding a bit familiar...
BUGGAR ! I also just started streaming a show on TVNZ on Demand - The Long Call. I've only watched 2 episodes, and by the first couple of chapters they have changed things...grrrr. So...stop watching...or stop reading. You can't stop me reading, and we all know the book is far better than the movie or TV series, already I have far more background to the characters than I gleaned from the TV show. I'll read the book, and then get all grumpy when I watch the rest of the TV show. Or maybe I won't watch it again.

Tues - Fri each week with Dr Bloomfield and other health professionals, fewer politicians than previously. It is partly an effort to counter misinformation and I think it's a great idea.
