Surely Putin wouldn't be that stupid, to invade Ukraine - he must know the Americans would wade in immediately.

With numbers of cases now over 400 a day contact tracing breaks down and is virtually impossible.  The government has previously said that cases more than 200 a day strained their ability to trace people's movements.
