  Brilliant TM Chat service.
Posted by: crafters_corner - 24-12-2021, 02:39 PM - Forum: Trademe Discussion - Replies (3)

I was flabbergasted and so upset last night, when someone decided to give me 5 red faces, because apparently it took too long for her parcel TO BE SENT....not delivered, but just 'sent'.

She purchased 5 items from me, very late last thursday night. The earliest it could be sent, was this Monday just gone. Because of the time of year, being busy with my TM sales, and life in general, I booked the courier this Wednesday. It seems like a long time, but think about when she purchased, and when I could send it, and trying to stay within that reasonable time to send out parcels....

So, before she even got her parcel, I got the 5 red faces, with varying mentions of how late I sent it.

I spent quite a while this morning trying to use the TM Chat, but it was always offline. I was almost going to give up, but I thought I'd give it one last go. I finally spoke to someone at about 2pm this arvo. He said to fill out the form, which he sent me, and I promptly did so.

Well, within about 30mins, I got an email from Trust & Safety, and they agreed with me, and have removed all 5 reds.

Absolutely brilliant service. I know that I would have stewed over it all long weekend, and I am so thrilled to bits that it's now done.

Well, just one thing left to do. Blacklist the bitch for doing that, and putting my little business into disrepute. I work hard at gaining the respect of the wonderful people who buy from me, and having my TS status means alot too. These small things are my gift for working hard.

Oh, and she got her parcel today. One week after ordering them. She will never be buying my crafty goodies again, that is for sure.

Well done to TM. I have always been loyal to them, and will never sell my goodies anywhere else, because they provide the best service for me. TM, you ROCK!!!

My local fruit and vegie shop
Posted by: Oh_hunnihunni - 24-12-2021, 10:36 AM - Forum: Opinion and Politics - Replies (20)

has been taken over by an Indian family and is a vast improvement on the previous business in variety, service, and price. They have opened another shop a bit further up the main route so now we have one close to each of our competing supermarkets, which keeps them honest and competitive.

Yesterday though I noticed a wee sign by their door that said they were open on Christmas Day, and it made me wonder about the way our legislation supports religious holidays of the Christian variety, but doesn't pay the same respect to Muslim, or Hindu, or Jewish or any of the other faith based celebrations.

If our local fruit guys get clobbered with a fine as has happened in the past, would they not then have a case for state based religious persecution?

Is it time we took a hard look at our own social bias towards one faith?

Lightbulb Game: 5 Letters

Five Letters
Easy game...I've picked five letters...and I've listed them. The next person has to make a sentence using just the five letters. Like this...

B M M H T

Bring Me McDonald's Home Tonight

then leave your five letters...

W Y I M K

PS It does have to make sense

I pretty much agree with all of this and found I had the same problems, glad it's not just me.

Hopefully M$ can fix them, because there are still alot of things I like better than windows 10

Brian May tests positive for covid

"Brian May has tested positive for COVID-19. Over the weekend, the Queen guitarist took to Instagram to share a post and pair of video messages detailing "Life After The Double Red Line."

"Yep. The shocking day finally came for me. The dreaded double red line," he captioned a photo of his positive test. "And yes - definitely NO sympathy please - it has been a truly horrible few days, but I’m OK. And I will tell the tale. PLEASE take extra care out there, good folks. This thing is incredibly transmissible. You really do NOT want it messing up YOUR Christmas."

After detailing his experience with the illness, which he described as “the worst flu you can imagine,” and assuring fans he's feeling much better a week after getting sick, May reiterated the importance of getting vaccinated.
“This is not the response my body would’ve made on its own," he said. "It’s making this response because I’ve had three Pfizer jabs. And I beg you and implore you to go and get jabbed if you’re not already, because you need the help. I lost one of my very best friends to COVID very early on. In six days it killed him. It could’ve done me in the last six days but it didn’t because of the jabs."
He ended his message with a note of solidarity. “Don’t be scared but be cautious, because you don’t want to get this," May said. “Let’s all pull together to beat this damn coronavirus.”

Good for him - he could have just said nothing but instead chose to use his experience to encourage people to get the vaccination.

Time to stock up on Kiwistamps - the little bits of paper that outperform the housing market.

Are we going to be looking at $1.70...

"This means that NZ Post will need to increase the price of sending letters by more than usual next year and in the few years following," a spokesperson said.
