  CCleaner Free V 6.33
Posted by: Neil F - 20-03-2025, 07:58 PM - Forum: PressF1 - Replies (3)

I am Win 11 64 bit V 24H2 fully updated.
A few weeks back using FilePuma CCleaner Free I downloaded V 6.33.11465 to replace V6.32.
It rarely works as before. I get past "Close Browser " Do you want to force it to close? I click yes. Goes to Start Scanning but progress bar stays blank and almost immediately I am thrown out of CCleaner back to Win Explorer.
I tried redownloading installing (after a Full Revo Uninstallation). It worked once then returned to the above problem. i then tried Properties Compatibility ran that  -worked once then reverted to flashes back to Win Explorer.

I keep hoping for a notification "we screwed up " Install latest Version" which presumably will be V6.34. No such          notification from Piriform.

In interim I have kept using Glary Utilities Free and also tried MSoft PC Manager . The latter seems to focus more on Speed Boosts rather than housekeeping -clearing temp files etc.

Any ideas?
Thanks
Neil

  VCR to PC

Looking at digitizing some VHS tapes.
Been watching some youtube videos on this.
Some say you need an RCA to HDMI converter also a video capture card.
Then I saw this.

Transfer Convert Copy VCR VHS Video Tapes to PC DVD Complete Kit 3656001 | Trade Me Marketplace

Will that do the job ?

Canadian actor detained at USA border 'in inhumane conditions'

While she obviously should have made sure there were no problems with her work visa, this seems needlessly harsh.

Even for him, this is stunning.
Their use is apparently quite common & even Trump has used them, but now suddenly, that's 'unacceptable.'

Human rights campaign declares state of emergency, USA.
Posted by: Lilith7 - 17-03-2025, 02:52 PM - Forum: News and Current Affairs - No Replies

Due to the proliferation of various legislation across the country aimed at regulating the lives of gay people. The Human Rights Campaign said there are more then 70 bills it considers anti LGBTQ, which is double last years similar laws.
It can surely only have got worse since then.

According to Greenland party leaders.   Can't say I blame them, Trump would do well to remember that they're descended from Viking people...
