Looks like Eskimo pies and Afghan biscuits are now on the chopping block.
If these names go, where will it end? Whats next on the chopping block?
Why is it racist for uncle bens rice to have a black guy on the logo, but its ok if it was a white guy? How is that not racist?

The Chase |

I see that we've got a new iteration of The Chase on TV tonight.
Don't get me wrong, I love a good quiz. The Chase's format works because there's lots of questions and (sometimes) some drama . It also doesn't plod along like The Tipping Point which relies heavily on the tension of a randomly falling disc. How thrilling! And don't get me started on the even more plodding Millionaire Hot Seat.
But like all things in life, you get reach the end of your tether. I'm calling time on Bradley and the worn out gang of Chasers.
As an aside, TV1's daily schedule is typically two hours of The Chase, two hours of falling discs, and two hours of Ellen. 25% of the day is devoted to three programmes. TVNZ is always promoting things that are showing only On Demand - why not show them on TV instead of the cheap dross they're currently broadcasting?

Todd Muller |

In the current iteration of so-called "politics", Todd Muller looks a little miscast as a potential PM. Locally, Key and Ardern sold their personality to the voters and it worked. Internationally, Trump and Johnson ran a similar gamut. Bridges could never sell himself without looking like a self-satisfied four year old.
Which brings us to Muller. What's his story? What does he believe in? No one really knows (possibly not even Muller himself). He just comes across as a little, well, blank. An old-fashioned arm-waving empty vessel for the true blue voters to project their views onto. Could he run the country? Sure he could. I mean, he rose to the giddy heights of being the CEO of his Dad's company. That takes skill... and lashings of nepotism.
Muller's supporting bevy of feisty females don't help his cause either. He comes across as a little henpecked - the trophy husband fulfilling the wishes of B1 and B2.
And oooh, opinions and politics. This site is a-changing.
