  Win11 can't restart
Posted by: Galaxy01 - 31-10-2024, 08:53 PM - Forum: PressF1 - Replies (5)

My Win11 Pro sometimes cannot Restart. Nothing showed on screen but can hear fans spinning. I got to press the ON/OFF button to shut it down and then press it again to start it.

Any suggestions?

Up to 2000 people could lose jobs re school lunche changes
Posted by: Lilith7 - 31-10-2024, 03:53 PM - Forum: Opinion and Politics - Replies (3)

Our delightful govt once again has apparently failed to understand possible consequences of their changes.
75 provider contracts end on Xmas eve & one supplier will have to let go all 47 workers who run the programme. This govt doesn't seem at all bothered by numbers of people put out of work due to their policies - perhaps they've failed to realise that all of those now without work will be among those to have to cope with their harsher welfare conditions.

But then perhaps their aim is to be a one term govt.

Sam Neill slams govt over Dunedin broken promise

"Govt by the cruel".

I don't think Sam's best pleased; can't say I blame him & he's far from alone in this. Well done him for sticking his neck out & criticising this govt.

Alcohol a solution for mental health issues
Posted by: girlgeorgina - 31-10-2024, 12:30 PM - Forum: News and Current Affairs - Replies (16)

I read the headline and had a serious WTFAF?? moment

I Am Hope and Gumboot Friday campaigner Mike King is defending his claims that “alcohol is the solution for people with mental health issues” and says medical research proving it is linked with suicide is a matter of opinion.

The evilbastard Taliban have now banned women from hearing each others voices
Posted by: Lilith7 - 30-10-2024, 06:06 PM - Forum: News and Current Affairs - Replies (6)

Clearly barking mad, the idiot Taliban have now decided to prevent women from hearing the voices of other women.

I vote every last country in this world band together, invade Afghanistan & free women, instead imposing all the restrictions now applying to women on them, for 5-7 years.
Which should be sufficient for them to gain an understanding of cruelty & injustice. Dodgy Angry

HiLook IP Security Camera App issue
Posted by: Galaxy01 - 28-10-2024, 08:36 AM - Forum: PressF1 - Replies (1)

Good morning, folks.

I have this HiLook Security camera installed for almost half a year and it worked pretty well, both the browser and phone App for Android work OK.

I updated the App the other day and I can't access the cameras!  Uninstalled and Re-installed to no avail. Very little info from the user manual.

Watched and followed a few video from Youtube, but not much help.

Shouldn't have updated it, silly me.   Too late though.

NVR Model: HiLook 108MH-K/8P(B)

Can anyone here help?

"Unfair criteria" shutting mental health groups out of help
Posted by: Lilith7 - 27-10-2024, 02:36 PM - Forum: Opinion and Politics - No Replies

According to the Labour party some groups are shut out of funding because they're required to have $250,000 co-funding. That seems extremely bizarre.
