  Marakopa dad; possible motive
Posted by: Lilith7 - 27-10-2024, 02:30 PM - Forum: News and Current Affairs - Replies (6)

Fairly obviously, the detective in charge now believes the motivation for taking off with the kids is because he no longer has custody.

Malaysia, Kiwi schools fior undocumented kids
Posted by: Lilith7 - 26-10-2024, 02:54 PM - Forum: News and Current Affairs - Replies (2)

I'd never heard of this before but apparently undocumented children there cannot attend school, so this woman decided to fix that.

Well done that woman! Wink

  A night at the garden
Posted by: Lilith7 - 26-10-2024, 08:52 AM - Forum: Opinion and Politics - Replies (2)

Trump intends to recreate a piece of political infamy. Dodgy

in 1939 Right wing Christian Nationalist Americans -  20,000 of them - gathered at Madison square gardens in a pro fascist, white supremacy rally. There was a massive portrait of George Washington - who must have been rotating rapidly in his grave - flags & the American national anthem.

This is a short (7minutes) documentary about that gathering.

The Menendez brothers may be released

They're currently serving life without parole; but now may be eligible for immediate parole. After 30 odd yeasr, if they're found to have been wrongly imprisoned they'd probably be  due  for some kind of recompense.

Dirty politics in America...

Mariel Garza has resigned after billionaire owner Patrick Soong-Shiong vetoed planned endorsment of Kamala Harris. The Los Angeles Times has previously endorsed a Democratic candidate for every election since Barak Obama's campaign in 2008.

Posted by: Lilith7 - 24-10-2024, 02:42 PM - Forum: News and Current Affairs - Replies (9)

Experts have discivered that the altar stone at Stonehenge is Scottish - that's an incredibly long way to move a stone - approximately 700 kilometres. It was thought to be Welsh until now; the latest studies show that it came froim north east Scotland.

My Snipping Tool does not work as it should, can't take a screen shot.

How to uninstall and reinstall it?  Downloaded but it won't allow me to install it,   asked to do it from MS Store.  but MS says it is installed.

Or, how to reset it?

Win 11 Pro.

Done. uninstalled and reinstalled.

Working OK now.

I’ll stand for Russian president when Putin's gone

I’ll stand for Russian president when Putin's gone, Navalny’s widow tells BBC

https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/ce3z4ydk90vo.amp

I whispered in her ear ‘Listen, I don’t want to sound dramatic, but I think there’s a high probability I’ll never get out of here…. They will poison me’.

‘I know’, she said with a nod, in a voice that was calm and firm. ‘I was thinking that myself’...

It was one of those moments when you realise you found the right person. Or perhaps she found you
