Good Morning everyone

Oh Kiwimade I Totally understand the MOTH thing.. And as they age and start Not being able to do things it only gets Worse for us.
You have my heartfelt sympathy... But I also think our Taurism makes us Know we are right and eventually it comes around to what we say.. Not that the MOTHS will ever admit that. Especially Cancerian ones.

MrP will be back today complete with his Digit in a jar. Cos he actually remembered I like that kind of thing lol... I will bring it home cos the heat in the home might not be helpful to it. But for the sake of others Ill put it in his room.

Talking with Erin last night and we said well that was the last time that Piggy went to Market. And now its a full Toe Jam jar lol.

Im off to do my blood and Im going to pop over and see if I can get some shoes like one of the ladies in the home has.. Noo they're not fuddy duddy lol. but have plenty of elastic which makes it easy for swelling summer feet. But the fronts are pretty. They will only be for when I go out and need something Nicer than Crocs. Ill see if I can get some smaller leggings too. The new ones I brought not that long ago are now to big.

Loving the signs of Spring... Its my cousins birthday today. Her parents did well. She is 1st of September and her brother is the first of January. Mind you MrPs kids were boy , girl, boy, girl and all born on Sundays.

Right better get the butt moving

Have an Awesome day everyone

Good idea Kiwimade. And perhaps the MOTH will consider Not saying anything.  But I wont hold my breath and perhaps you best not either. lol

Thankfully I learnt early that if we Women of the house  (WOTH) want something done. To plant the seed of the idea. and then they will Suddenly come up with an Idea and it will be done. (Our way But we know that, they dont lol)
Trying not to smirk here... oh dammm lol, why not *smirks away* MrK said that's a good idea calling in reinforcements! Hells bells, why do I bother to talk to him (or try to) about these things. And yes, I've often planted the seed of an idea only for him to claim it as his own.
I dunno, you ladies do make me laugh with your tales of the males in your life. I have often thought it would be nice...

But then I remember how expensive they are to keep.

Lol Thats for sure OHH.. MrP still costs me a bit. But then his comfort money means I can keep the insurance etc.

Made a friend laugh this morning. Saw her in the supermarket and told her what Happened to MrP's Toe.

I said he was bringing it home in a jar, so I guess that makes it Toe Jam lol... hahahaha
(01-09-2022, 08:13 AM)Oh_hunnihunni Wrote: [ -> ]I woke up to a truly hilarious email from my daughter in Perth describing highlights from her family life over the last month. She had me in fits of giggles despite telling me she had pneumonia in August, has another MS drug infusion coming up in October and then a partial hysterectomy in November to clear more of the endometriosis tissue. I cannot help feeling some comfort from the thought that some of the simply obstinacy I had to exert while raising her under challenging circumstances has obviously rubbed off, and while it may have made our relationship fraught for long periods of time good stuff is never really lost, there are always silver linings. And boy, those grandkids of mine are just like her, bright, beautiful, and oh such little devils...

Life is good up here in the big city on this Spring morning.

It gets even better - with luck, you'll get to see your offspring dealing with their very own teenagers! Big Grin Big Grin Rolleyes
There's nothing quite as satisfying. Rolleyes

M O T H's can indeed be expensive to keep, & often a  pain in the proverbial as well, but handy sometimes.

A successful mornings hunting & scored another two of those gorgeous trivets so only one more to get. One has a lovely Pohutukawa on it & the other a couple of fantails, really colourful.

Also found the chocolate for granddaughter's looming birthday. She's vegan so can't eat all of them.

The only thing I couldn't get were the Schmacko's for Madame le Dog; she adores them & is very low on supplies but so it seems, are the shops. So I chanced it & got a very small packet of a similar product while crossing fingers they get more schmackos in before she runs out.
I'm now officially knackered & have no intention of doing anything else for the rest of the day.
I have dealt to thirteen Little Garden seed packs, all into punnets, suitably labeled. We should have our courtyard jungling with vegies this summer, the way him and me are going. Only two real gardeners left in the village now, but what do you bet come ripening days we have a lot of willing hands out?

I have decided I'm tossing out my soft lazyboy chairs. They are doing my back in. So I am on the hunt for some nice stiff backed mid century chairs, like the ones I grew up with. But boy, are they pricey! Still, if I eat beans for weeks I just might be able to swing one... Or two if I do the rehab work myself...
For sure OHH there will be many wanting the goodies without the work.

I too am on the lookout for a new chair.. A lazy boy lol... Cos the foot on mine screamed and doesn't want to work anymore. Was a most Unlady like position I found myself when it happened lol

MrP is soo off his face he thought he was back at the home.. He has a new boot... But I spoke to them and they said he should be home tomorrow... They thought he was going to a private hospital. I said Nooo its a rest home with hospital level care..

Lilith7 I feel the same, simply shattered.. Then I realised its ages since I had my B12, so have booked that for tomorrow. But I too am not doing anything else today.

Oh I went to the warehouse to get some new leggings.. Ive gone down from the biggest to a 22... Yayay.. And I managed to get two pair of the same shoes I saw the lady in the rest home had. but Mine were Half price, so I got the only two pair.. And Ive even gone down a size in my shoes too..!!!

I'm shaking my head... lol.
You can come get mine whenever. And we can swap wardrobe cast offs, lol.

Btw, Clinicians do a B12 liquid. I use that instead of the jab, and so far my levels are stable. I sure can tell when they aren't!

Oh Thank you Ohh.. I didn't know it came in a  liquid form.. I like Clinicians, I use their Magnesium in copious amounts.

Can you get it from The Chemist Warehouse?

I have mine in my Butt cos I dont like needles in my arm. The last four vaccines have been a  trial for my poor arms lol

Id be there if I had a way of transporting the chair lol.. Thanks tho

They Do have it. And in the long run it would work out cheaper than a free prescription, but $15 a pop fpr the Nurse to shoot me in the Butt. lol

Will put it on my list.. Thanks Ohh
I like it because I can top up when I know I need it, and it saves going to the Docs...

And I hate needles. Especially big ones.
I just take some B12 tablets now & then, when I remember to get some. Must do that, maybe next week.
morning ladies Smile A tad cloudy this morning, perfect for being out in the garden.

MrK had his eyes checked yesterday and yes, he needs another cataract op. In his words, his eye is screwed. And the cataract is in the front of the eye which is why it has come on so quickly. So now we wait Smile Next week he has a hearing test Big Grin

I'm hoping our friend will be in touch today about the hydrangea. Once it has been dealt with, we can steady the fence and I can carry on with the garden.

MrK also has VitB and notices when he doesn't take it. He just runs out of ooooomph and energy.

The Furry One has bounced back from his seizure but still won't leave my side. He's due for his six monthly check up next month so we will chat to the vet about these last couple of seizures and if we need to increase his meds. His medication isn't subsidised like ours lol so it's costing us a small fortune each month. Just as well we love him to pieces.

Hopefully I can work on the fantail's beak sometime today. But first, the mulch I dumped onto the concrete (it was going to bucket down and it needed to be off the grass) needs to be moved onto the garden. I hate double handling but didn't have much of a choice last week.

Happy crafting Smile

Overcast again

DH needs stuff so we will be off to Buntings or Mitre 10 later this morning.DD has asked if she can work from our office today so that gives me an excuse not to do any reading etc  so I am free.

Cut down some wool blankets to make cot blankets for The Nest Collective yesterday so will bind those today

Out for dinner with friends tonight

Enjoy your day
Morning everyone

Ive emailed breakfast about the Knitted teddies the ladies at the Possum Bourne rest home are doing for the Displaced children in Ukraine, if I manage to get the pattern Im happy to Share.. If I cant get it online I will pop in and see them next week if I go over to Pukekohe. Simple but something that will hopefully bring them some comfort. If I cant knit I will take some wool over anyway.

Woken up sore this morning. Some days are worse than others..

Spoke to MrP last night. He wasn't so stoned lol... I told him the ball is in his court. They want him to be able to mobilize and that will determined what happens to his future. Its up to him how his life turns out from here on in.

Im going to get some B12 when Im in town next week.. I have several vials for the shots but at $15 a time it works out much cheaper to get my own. Needles dont worry me thank goodness lol.

Will visit MrP if he gets back this morning, otherwise Im going to get the 10ish tops out of my wardrobe that are still brand new and too big for me and put on FB.. Then I think Ill take a pause in buying clothes for a couple of months and see what size I am then. I have enough to be tidy when Im out and saggy baggy at home will be fine for a while lol.

Hope the PuppyK picks up soon Kiwimade. My BIL have a terrier who has high medical needs. but yes we Love our babies to the moon and back.

Have a fab day all
High needs indeed. I had to lock the feline outside last night as she went through another digestive crisis, and it was no fun at all, for her or me. Still all cleaned up now and she is sleeping it off on my lazyboy, I wonder of she will be cross when I chuck that one out? I did start to wonder if perhaps I should take her for that final vet visit at the height of the drama, but the trouble is once she is through it, she goes back to eating well and drinking fine, purring at top and seems happy as... I can't tell if she is in pain, or just discomfited by a body she can't control, so I just keep postponing the inevitable.

I do wish she wouldn't have these fits at 2am though, when I am both blind and in dire need of sleep!

So yes, we are definitely to the Moon and back with our companions...

There is a thread on Twitter devoted to "vom-cats", i.e. cats that throw up often.   One person said that when, very concerned, she took her vom-cat to the vet, the vet did a thorough and expensive check, reported that the cat was in perfect health and that in his opinion the vomiting was a life-style choice on the part of the cat.

Comforting?
Well, she knows my reaction will put her in the dogbox. Or outside in the cold! But she has been diagnosed with IBS, and being a Rex cross she has a fur ball problem, so the two sometimes combine in unpleasant ways. I have managed to reduce the episodes though through diet control but every now and then... yukkiness!
Cats make lifestyle choices? Omg lmao, now I know cats definitely have staff and are smarter than their own good lol.

We have decided the fence needs some professional love so a friend who also happens to be a fencer is coming to look at it and tell us what's what. I suspect we are in for the big bucks but won't know until he can tell us. It helps living in a small district where everyone knows each other Big Grin I'm wondering if we can claim insurance. We've had some pretty strong winds over the last few weeks and the day before yesterday this massive gust blew down the side of the house. It even blew a window open. Might have a chat to AMI Tongue If you don't ask, you don't get.

The mulch is on the garden at long last, all four cubic meters of it. And I've swept the concrete where I had dumped it so everything looks tickety-boo. Just need the concrete to dry out a bit but fat chance of that with rain coming tomorrow.

Lunchtime, boy have I earned it today. MrK found some pumpkin soup in the freezer so we are having that with hot buttered toast.
