Morning everyone

Not raining at present but the ground is probably dancing with happiness with the rain.

Daylight savings ends April 7th Hunni, so not long. Im looking forward to winter, I love my thicker dresses lol.

Off to see the girls today. I got a multi bag of chippies yesterday for a treat. For someone who could easily eat a large bag of chips in one sitting, I can say I haven't had any since last year. I dont really miss them. But I figured a multipack would cover us all and I wont have to bring any home lol.

David visited Young Peter on Saturday. He didn't have a smile on his face in the photo but he always was slow to smile. I miss the gentle tall man.

I started on the sewing room yesterday. OMG I knew it would look worse but Its a mess for sure. But I can see that Im getting there. And its therapeutic too.

Have a fab day everyone
Good morning.

Overcast with a pleasant temperature. Rain predicted.

Nothing like things to appreciate OHH if sleep not going well! A bit of overthinking DH's big op here Sad  But I'm enjoying seeing the baby mauve flowers on my butter beans and the over 30 Rengarenga seedlings at a big range of size!

Off over the hill today for the next week ... good to be with family. I have books and knitting for in between  Smile

Enjoy the day all.
Morning all
Raining here

Roma hope you get some sleep soon the monkey of the mind is always a pest when trying to sleep

Tired from road trip over the weekend. My aunts memorial gathering was just how she would have wanted. Caught up with cousins I haven't seen for 25nplus years. It was also nice for my DD to meet them too.

Recovery day today.

Enjoy your day
OMG I feel like Ive just spent several hours with 2 year old teething toddlers, and ratty chimpanzees at the zoo. Combined.

I really dont know how those carers do it. Brian was screaming, frightened the living daylight's out of me twice, Eva was wheeling herself around in her wheelchair, having sh*t herself twice. And when Julain took her to clean her up she screamed a deafening scream. I had been warned but I was a good 20 meters away and Im sure my eardrums rattled.

Bobbie wouldnt do what she was told at the end. I managed to sneak away, thankfully.

Anne hit me up for money for smokes, after David got her a packet yesterday. We are both going to tell her straight out no, from now on. Thankfully I said well I dont have any money till Thursday and I need that for petrol for Friday. I have the money but I certainly cant afford smokes for anyone.

David took a video of Peters room on Sunday. Its certainly not as nice as our local. And he's sharing a room. But its early days yet.

I took in some of those little multipack chippies and they all enjoyed them. and David had taken in some Kapiti Mini ice-cream's. Raspberry or boysenberry. They sure are yummy. And just the right size for me. Im not a big ice cream eater.

I have to say I'm glad he gave me a couple of hugs.. I feel worn out lol
morning ladies Smile Another wet start to the day, we had some wild weather last night, that's for sure.

The rest home carers just don't get paid enough to do what they do. I would love to see some (ok, maybe all) of our law makers do their jobs and live on the same money for a while.

Yesterday I stitched to the half way mark on the runner, it was such a satisfying feeling. I'll keep going all the way round before I start on the embroidery in the middle. Can't wait to start using colours lol.

Once the wheelie bins have been emptied, I can move some of the garden waste and free up some space. I also need to weed the garden the tree is in so when the arborist has finished grinding, I can spread the mulch. No point in spreading mulch if the weeds grow through it. And the ground should be nice and damp for new mulch as well.

Happy crafting Smile
Morning everyone

The sun is out here. A bit of wind tho.

I agree Kiwimade, but I know there are alot who are just there for their pay. Some seem to have hardened their heart so much that its like they dont care. Yesterday was weigh in day. We asked if they could take Irene to the toilet. They have to use a lifter etc for her. They made her wait cos they needed to weigh someone.. Thats where it is so wrong.

But seeing and hearing Eva really shocked me, and for those who care I take my hat off to them.

Ill be in my sewing room today. I think Ill have to take recycles stuff up to the Junktion on the weekend, cos I will over fill the wheelie bin for sure lol And Ill have a fair bit for the daycares etc. Its been a while since I gave them the last lot.

Was talking to Dianne one of the daughters at the home last night. She said Anne is pretty much demanding some of her lunch. She said she didn't get much at all yesterday. So I suggested she bring something to heat up like David does now. So she's going to bring noodles tomorrow.. Sharing is good, and she's a giving soul , but Anne is taking advantage. Ill just take my one sandwich and wont have that trouble. She doesn't sit by me too which makes it easier.

Id Love to be in Palmerston North this weekend. Its the National Woodchopping event. Ive loved watching since I was a kid.

Have a fab day everyone
Loppers! Woo hoo, and they are a solid bit of gear. Especially considering the five dollar price tag, lol. The echium is half done, the dying hydrangea is next on my list. Between showers...

Now that would be an exellent idea, KM. And too, those same law makers ought to be required to live on the lowest level of wage/benefit for 3 months over winter each year as well. Wink

I'm sure it would bring about far more understanding of the reality of the laws they make.

Totally Agree.

But a whole year, making sure they have birthdays and Christmas . Insurance premiums, car rego, school uniforms, stationery and fees.

Then see if they like it.

Im sure there's alot of people who would happily live in the Parliament housing too, rather than being in a  car or on the streets too.
Luxon thinks Premier House is unliveable.

Boy, he should pop in on a few social housing units. Not the new ones he gets to see, the other ones...

Oooh yes, LIKE,LIKE! Excellent idea Popeye.

I also think that for those MP's who live anywhere other than Welly, a state house small flat could be made available for them when in parliament, no need for expensive rentals because if they need to entertain, there's always Govt house.

Yeah...I can just see him doing that, too. Rolleyes

I said to third eldest grandaughter this morning that although I'm not even slightly a violent person, I find myself wanting to smack David Seymour one fairly constantly.

Apparently, it runs in the family.... Big Grin Big Grin
Join the queue, Lilith lol. Don't get me started on David Seymour! What a smug, arrogant pr**k of a man.

Isn't he though; & seems to be  completely out of touch with what most Kiwis want or need. Either he doesn't comprehend that feeding kids  helps them learn  (hungry kids  can't learn properly) or he knows - &  doesn't care.

But wanting to let kids go hungry really says it all about him & his party.  Dodgy

morning ladies Smile Fine weather today so I can finish what's left in the garden where the tree is.

David Seymour whakapapa's back to an iwi, can't remember which one but they did acknowledge he was from their iwi. Even though he looks as pakeha as they come, his ancestry says otherwise. I am hoping that what he means about the kids free lunches is they will review any wastage, not cut them out completely. Somehow, I suspect I am wrong though.

My sister-in-law and her two big dogs are visiting today. The Furry One was most disgusted when she visited last as she didn't bring his 'cousins' lol. He will be one very tired dog by the end of the day. Before she arrives, I have to replant the lilies I dug out yesterday into their new home, shift the bidden and a succulent thing and dig up the phlox so I can split it and weed it properly. Then it can be replanted in a new home as well. I also have some mystery bulbs to plant, I'll put them in a pot until I know what they are. Then the 'new' garden will be pretty much bare except for some iris', a rose, the hellebores under the camellias and some salvias. All ready for the tree to come down Friday morning Big Grin

I stitched a bit more yesterday, every stitch counts lol.

Time to get cracking, lots on the agenda today.

Thinking of roma and MrR. Hope his surgery went/is going well.

Happy crafting Smile
Morning everyone

A bit grey out there but its meant to fine up.

Oh you have reminded me Kiwimade, I got some daffodil bulbs and need to get them in a pot. Ill put them in with the Old fashioned Violets. Planted what was meant to be daffodils in there years ago but they were jonquils.

I hope they dont stop the lunches too. Its making a difference for many I am sure. Helping cut the waste out would be good tho.

Im off to see the girls today. To make up for not being there on Friday.

Had a good long text chat with my older brother last night. he must have known I was a bit down. But he cheered me up.

Hope all goes well for Mr. Roma today.

Have a fab day all
Thing about ancestry is how much is significant? With these DNA testing sites even the faintest trace gets noted, and so with that, I'm actually a Viking.

Stupid boy, as someone very funny used to say...
Morning all
