Well that was a good hour's weeding, there was a break in the weather Big Grin It's so warm and humid, everything is growing like crazy as if it was spring. The soil is still lovely and warm and easy to work with now it's wet.
I was a bit loud? Naughty? Bolshy bitchy? yesterday... I looked out my kitchen window at the unoccupied scaffolding still blocking access for the top units with no workers in sight, and got a bit cross. So I emailed our landlords and pointed out that since the beginning of summer we have had one month - January - free of workers doing loud and obtrusive maintenance work that has impacted the 'quiet enjoyment' we are entitled to as tenants, and that perhaps the time had come for a rent reduction to be considered as compensation for the ongoing nuisances.

Today the scaffolding is being moved and the place is a hive of activity, albeit a wet one...

You stirrer hunni!  Big Grin
Well done Hunni..

Sometimes they just dont think about other people's rights or comfort.

I didn't go out.. just not in the mood.

Rang the nurse she was just reading the x-ray results she wants to talk in person. but also said if it was a big thing they would have rung.

Then spoke to MrP who got shitty, cos he likes to make his bed his way, but they haven't been to make it today, I said you need to decide if you want them to make it or not and to stop and remember hes not the only one there. they dont have to drop and run after him.. so he told me to stop going on and that he might not talk to me tonight.. told him it was the truth. then he asks for Lollie's.. I said so you dont want to talk to me but you want me to bring up Lollie's..

He hung up.. So hes learning how spoilt he was at home, that he is not the number one person there and he has to join the queue...

And I dont feel guilty about it.. so hes going to leave again lol... hes in a bitch mood and knows I dont have to put up with it again.. Manopause I think lol
Lol, sorry popeye but the mental picture of a grown man thwarted was too much for my dark side.

There was a thing on farcebook this morning about women of a certain age and cats.. it's called Manypaws...

Too wet for scooting for coffee and company today so i have bought myself a mothers day present online - mother in laws tongue and string of hearts, two plants guaranteed to arrive safely. Now, where shall i put those babies...  Shy
Gidday all
Mild warm overcast day here

Completed my errands, things medical then picked up steam generator and off to the store, no problem because the manufacturer had sorted everything I have to say the manufacturer has been excellent dealing with this so I am going to name them Phillips.

Finally they tracked my parcel languishing at the local depot since last Thursday!  so I am happy.

Some charity sewing this afternoon baby merino singlets will hopefully get a good batch done.

OHH good thing you stirred up the LL nothing like mentioning $ to get them active.

Well cuppa finished rotary cutter is calling Big Grin

Enjoy your day

I fully understand Hunni.

I know how it will happen. Mr.P will either be sitting on the bed, or chair. Me in the other, Nurse will sit down and face us and read the report.. the Look on MrP's face will be worth a million.. She will leave and he will change the subject or say she doesn't know what she is talking about cos she's not a dr.
At that point i May or May not tell him he has always said nurses know more than Drs..

Like he kept saying he had cataracts, but was told clearly that he didn't have them. I had to Gently remind him of that when he started telling everyone he did... he wasn't happy of course. Burst his wee bubble.

But I dont like Liars and I wasn't letting him try and pull the wool any more.

I do soo love our Own treats. cos if We dont spoil ourselves, no one else will... Although in saying that, I've had a text to say my parcel should be here today.. I haven't ordered anything. it could be from my sister friend in CHCH. but she normally tells me.
So I'm just going to wait and see.
My Day just gets better.

Met a girl when I started college here in 1979... She always told us she was the last baby born at the hospital here. The same that MrP is in now. It was built for the returned soldiers but was also a maternity home for a while.

As a part of the 100 year celebration they were wanting to speak to the oldest living baby born there and the last baby born there.
The oldest living has just passed. He was 99 and had just celebrated their 73rd wedding anniversary.

But Apparently babies were born there as late as 1976. I know my friend was quite smart, but not enough to be starting College at 3 years old..

I guess she never thought the truth would come out one day... And I know she will see the paper.. Nice to prove she was lying all along.

She is an ex-friend now and has been for about 18 years. Been back here for 19 years and in the last 18 I've probably only seen her 5 times max. And its not a big town by any means.

Does a Happy Dance cos I'm nasty lol

Ohh dear! Heaven forfend that they should have to part with *gulp* actual cash compensation.... Rolleyes Dodgy

Its always so amazing, the speed at which some things can be accomplished once compensation is mentioned. Big Grin

Our local Body shop has closed so when I need anything from there it now means schlepping over to another mall which doesn't please me as there's a bit of a walk involved to bus stops & that mall is a long one, & often used by people for fitness walks so consequently I tend to get in & out as fast as possible but I think I broke my record this morning thanks to buses actually turning up at a good moment both ways. Its always so good when that happens.
lol yep, mention compensation and it's amazing what can happen.

Great going with the mall visit, Lilith. I hate malls. It's the endless noise that echos around that bugs me.

One mouse and his buddy trapped Big Grin MrK spotted the second one this afternoon and just as he was telling me he saw it, we heard the trap go off.

The Furry One has had his vet visit and all is well as we expected.
So I spot the community managers car in the drive and think uh oh... But no, just dropping off Official Mail.

Rent increase letter, lol.

That'll learn me... Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

Bastards.  Dodgy

One thing which really annoys me is when you get notification from the power supplier which ever so coyly states that 'your power supply is changing'.

NO, it bloody well isn't. What it IS doing is increasing; at least summon the honesty to say so dammit rather than being so nauseatingly coy. Dodgy

Good news re the Furry one then. Smile

I don't much like that particular mall either, especially at Xmas when it gets crowded.
I once mentally invented a pair of hover shoes which I imagined using to hover above the crowd & be able to easily get to the other end without a problem...dreams are free. Rolleyes Big Grin
When we moved to Bathurst both the big supermarkets were in the malls - every time I went there were lots of elderly people sitting on the benches and seats with thermos and knitting or reading a book - couldn’t make it out as neither of the malls were remotely attractive places to be - found out they would be there all day for the air conditioning- I can’t imagine kiwis doing that - I couldn’t wait to get out of there - though it was good having the covered parking underneath
Morning everyone.. *** Happy Birthday Kiwimade****

They seem to be coming around pretty quickly these days.

I used to like Malls. And especially close to Christmas. I was happy to go and sit and People watch. Not now tho, too many bugs in there now.

MrP was back to normal last night thank goodness.. They are all impressed with what I invented re his compression socks and grippy socks combined.. Although if you ask him it was his idea. He always thinks he is the brains in the operations lol.. So he has the compression his legs need, and the grip on the floor for safety sake.

Need to do my bloods and shopping today so need to find some motivation.

Oh this Political "Jumping" is nuts.. Does Luxon not remember the very short mess of JC, SB, TM and then himself?

Have a fab day all
morning ladies Smile We have an awful lot of rain so far this morning.

Thank you popeye Smile for the birthday wishes. The year does whizz by pretty quickly now.

I cut up a pair of those grippy socks the hospital dish out and stitched them to some knitted slippers for dad and that worked for him as well.

I agree with this waka jumping. National have a very short memory when it comes to the messes they make within their party. At least this was quick and clean(ish).

Yesterday I finished the weeding Big Grin (for now lol) and finished our daughter's quilt. So a productive day all round. The roadside garden is next on the list Tongue I also need to buy some dodacky things to put the wire up along the fence. And MrK wants to string some wire up near our gate so he can espalier another camelia.

About a month or so ago we planted a swan plant as a monarch butterfly was hanging around and kept loosing the caterpillars to praying mantis'. Now that the dahlias where they were hiding have been cut back, the caterpillars are growing like mad and we have two chrysalis' Big Grin Big Grin as well as some more baby caterpillars. I just hope the warm weather continues long enough for them to finish their life cycle. We did spot another monarch around yesterday so they are still here.

Today I'm taking our friend to his second monthly appointment at the hospital. By the time we are home, that's pretty much most of the day done and dusted.

Happy crafting Smile
Good morning.

Fine outside, not too cold. Have appreciated the fine weather here and feel for those back home suffering cabin
fever with the continuous rain!
Happy birthday KM ... I hope you find some time for yourself to do as you wish today  Smile

Plan a walk to a 'Hut' today, that my GS informs me is known for hiding rats ... I won't be looking inside!

Damn OHH, the squeaky wheel worked only to a degree!

Cuppa finished, time to move.

Enjoy the day all.
Cr**! A rent increase, OHH Sad I bet they use the 'renovations' as their excuse.

It's pretty blustery out there, me thinks it will be a slow trip to Waikato.

Thanks for the birthday wishes, Roma Smile

That has to be a huge temptation. I wonder what a high powered lawyer might make of those errors... Rolleyes Big Grin Big Grin
They are such a pack of clowns...
This is a post written by a very successful young woman who has done incredible work helping disadvantaged kids - just thought I would share how desperate people are - there have been seven suicides now - people in the electorate couldn’t care less who jumps wherever in parliament - but yesterday the government announced 133 million to remove silt - the people no longer have to put the silt in rubbish bags and put out on the verge or wait until a volunteer with a machine comes to help them out - it is amazing people are still coming from all over the country

Sorry for the rant - a couple I loved dearly committed suicide on Monday
