Twentybloodyeight fgs!

Madame Le Dog isn't best pleased. And nor is her human...
I use a broom and soapy water too, OHH. It's much gentler on the paintwork.

It's 24 degrees outside with a breeze so the Furry and Fluffy Ones have a doorway each. MrK is stretched out watching some awful Steven Segal movie (omg that man is so full of himself lol) and I'm just mucking about. I have made a no-bake slice without the walnuts (run out) and the cranberries should be a nice replacement for the cherries I also didn't have.
Was 28 when I got in... Too hot.

MrP was in a chipper mood. And he looks soo much better without the face fungus lol. I took some photos for Bobbie.. including cheeky poking tongue out ones lol.

I decided to scrimp on the shopping and popped into the warehouse as they had another colour in the frill layered dress I got in August.. So now I have 2 to iron lol. The sage green and now the grey Marle but its light.

New World over there didn't have any bread... Couldn't be bothered stopping down here on the way home so Im going to get the bread maker out again.. I dont eat bread often but will make the odd loaf and slice and freeze for toast so no waste.

My knee is starting to hurt again, so it seems the 14-16 days is my limit for the steroid shot.. I've enjoyed it while I could. Will enquire to see if you can have them at the Gp's and how much it will cost.

Now need to chase up a parcel..
morning ladies Smile It's supposed to hit 27 today so we are all up and about to get things done before it gets too hot. The fog will burn off soon too by the looks of it.

Housework today for me and once that is done, I plan to work on my quail. It's been too long, and it needs to be finished.

Happy crafting Smile
Good morning.

Another nice day ahead, I've just seen expected to reach 29deg temperature ... summer has arrived!

Housework here as well after family staying and keeping us busy. Expecting this weekend to be a noisy one with air bnbers arriving one side and plenty of visitors the other!

No craft work getting done here either lately but might get into it this evening.

Glad Mr P currently settled, it will help your peace of mind as well Popeye.

How is the in/out of the house going with Pud OHH ... do you think she has established her territory/home patch?

Better get going before the day warms up.

Enjoy your day all.
Morning all
Another lovely day.

DH decided to prep our bedroom window sills to paint yesterday and got undercoat on, I decamped to spare bed downstairs as paint sets off my allergies arghh....!  I woke to find 2 male k9s had sneaked off their beds and joined me overnight cheeky.

DD wants a second opinion o  new sofa so off to shops with her later this  morning, then more quilting, need to start her 2nd top once that's done I can pack up and return sewi g space to normal.

Good MrP settled Popeye might reflect better care compared to how he was treated at the other place.

Enjoy your day
Morning everyone

I woke up chilled... Once again I slept in my chair.. I cant seem to get my legs to settle down in bed. And I only woke once, so am sleeping well.

Yes it makes a difference with MrP happy. His only grumble is they dont like him eating his munchies.. Ive told him to explain with all the medical stuff he has, eating what he wants is how the end of his life is.. Need to be more worried about the chemicals he swallows in his medication than food.
He is still doing his exercises.

I decided last night I enjoyed the exercise class I kinda bumped into at the home, so I brought myself a set of hand weights on TM.. And will at least work on my now thinner but still saggy batwings.

Off to do my bloods and get some fresher yeast.

Was thinking about Puddin the other day and wondered if she was taking care of you OHH with your gall bladder pain. They know when we arent right.. And Gall Bladder pain sucks.. Ive had friends who have had babies and gall stones and reckons they would rather have another baby than another flare up of GB pain.

Have a fab day everyone.. stay cool... I was hot yesterday but nothing like I used to be before my weight loss. Yay
Gallstones pain is not nice - true, but imo, my bones cause me more distress, primarily because I can manage the gallstones with hot water bottles and patience, but the bones just never stop reminding me they are damaged. Both cause me immense frustration, but the gallstones usually run 12 hours or so,  arthritis is like rust, it never stops.

But, onto more enjoyable things, the Pud! She is a stolid little creature, but has her ways. She is happy to venture out onto the front doormat, or the back deck where she feels safe, and from there survey goings on. She has been spotted further afield by my neighbours so she is definitely exploring and so far there have been no ructions with the other two village cats, so fingers crossed they have agreed to peaceful relations. She isn't a bossy creature like CoCo was, or as needy, and she is a lot more playful, adopting bits and pieces as her toys to be bashed around, chased, caught and destroyed when the whim takes her.

She is a little shy, and still dives for her safe place under the bed when she feels uncomfortable, but overall I think she has settled in rather well. Certainly well enough for me to be happy for her to be left alone should I get another surgery date this year. CoCo would have been an issue, but this one is a different beast, I think she will cope admirably.

Right cat, right household...  Big Grin
She sounds perfect OHH. A contented cat indeed if she likes to play ... how cute is she  Heart
Good to hear that the pud is doing well & settling in.

I hope they allow Mr P to enjoy munchies without trying to put a stop to it, Popeye. It would seem a bit miserable at his stage of life, if they did.

It got to thirtybloodytwo here yesterday, & today - well, now its 15 dammit. May need to put on warmer clothes once again.
I did manage a tiny bit outside earlier & I really should try to tackle a bit more weeding later on. The Dr gave me some pain meds on last visit but they haven't been all that helpful - & this morning I discovered why.
Its because I'm a plonker. I'm supposed to take the damn things THREE times a day but had utterly failed to notice that & have only been taking them once.

Possibly why they're not working very well...
Great to hear Pud is settling in well, OHH Smile She was a great choice of cat.

I agree, Lilith, it would be pretty miserable of them if MrP couldn't have his munchies.

My sister is coming home tomorrow from our aunt's funeral with two broken ribs and a chest infection. She tripped over her suitcase and crashed into a dressing table so will be very sore for a while. I'll take the Fluffy One home rather than her drive out here to collect the dog. She got the chest infection as she didn't see the doctor in time and was only shallow breathing.

All the batteries for the computer mouse and TV remote died and do you think I could find any replacements? Not on your nelly lol so into town I go. And came home with some plants for the garden, a new recycling bin (not supplied by the council as we are rural) and the batteries. We need a new joining thing for the hose, one with an on/off switch but I can only find double fittings. And I can't find potash for the garden either. Frustrating but a sign of the times, I think.
Ohh so pleased Pud is settling in well. Yep when they play they are happy.

Typical. New World had soo many Jam rolls they were marked down today. Couldnt get there here in town before Christmas lol.

Yep Im enjoying the cooler temp thats for sure.

MrP didnt have exercises, but he said he told them he was eating what he wanted anyway.. And was going to ask for one of his trifles I took in yesterday.

Ouchies for your Sister Kiwimade, she will want to cough and thats gonna hurt the ribs..

Yep Ohh Id happily do gall stones again rather than the Arthritis too.

Oops Lilith.. gotta read those labels proper lol
morning ladies Smile Arise, Sir Ashley Big Grin Wonderful news for Ashley Bloomfield and his family. We always said he deserved a knighthood.

It's much cooler this morning, perfect for planting the plants I bought yesterday. And I noticed a dahlia I thought I had moved was growing through a geranium lol. I must have missed that tuber.

lol Lilith, yep, that will be why the meds weren't working.

Our son texted and said he has his motor bike and just loves it. Apparently, it can do zero to 100 in six seconds.. yep, I needed to know that lol. He was taking it out for a ride after work to get the feel of it. He's very lucky, he can lock the bike up in a garage while at work. His firm provide locked parking space for bike and scooter riders to park safely and out of sight. You can hear the happiness in his voice as he tells us about it Heart It's most definitely his happy place.

The Fluffy One goes home this evening. I'm thinking I might meet my sister at the airport as I'm wondering how she is going to get her bags into her car with broken ribs.

Better get cracking, the cloud cover is starting to move.

happy crafting Smile
Morning everyone

I enjoyed the cooler day yesterday, and its not bad so far today either.

So pleased your son is happy Kiwimade.. And what an awesome place to work for. that considers its workers like that is wonderful. And I know Bikes are not a cheap hobby so keeping them safe is important.

I have to nip up for my pills, and then I will type up the stuff for the MOH. now that I have it written to how I want it.

I painted the fans yesterday, and did quite a bit of colouring in too... The eyes are certainly not working as they should so Ill sort that this year.

I'm sure your Sister would appreciate the lifting Kiwimade...

I didnt get a call from the Drs yesterday, but I spoke to a nurse. MrPs bloods showed no infection so thats good. And his uric acid is only a smidgeon elevated, so it could be a touch of gout..

Put bread on this morning, first time in ages... Will be nicely warm for lunch.

Have a fab day everyone
Morning all
Nippy start and not going to be suer hot today.

Early start this morning with DH bringing me a cup of at 5.30am sleeping in spare bedroom due to paint fumes upstairs, the old girl convinced  him it was time to get up and he didnt look at his watch   Rolleyes  he is a soft touch I would have told her to get back on her bed.

DD dog was naughty and stole chicken kebab Thursday night the thick wooden ones with loop and end ate chicken skewer and all. At vets yesterday and needed surgical retrieval from  intestines. Surgery was late afternoon I provided transport to after hours vet so that he could be monitored and medicated overnight, also meant kids didn't have to remove car seat from their car. Just got back from collecting from after hours, this morning he is very subdued k9.
He was supposed to be going to the kennels on Tuesday as kids going away for week. That's not happening now.

Stitching the binding on DD quilt top last night while watching Doc Martin xmas special.

DGS birthday lunch today with other GPS so thats my day.

Enjoy your day
Oh dear mica, that is going to hurt the bank balance. I am glad it wasn't worse though, those things can put holes where holes shouldn't be. Poor silly pup.

I went to see J yesterday, and came home through that perfect summer day thinking about how we often forget to value every second of being alive. I came past Narrowneck beach, thronged with city visitors all enjoying the perfection of our golden sands and blue water very soberly reflecting on trying to be more appreciative of the good things while we have them.

So Pud got extra special loves yesterday, because I am a very lucky woman to have the life I have.

Enjoy New Years Eve everyone, even if like me, you are yawning by 10pm if not well asleep, lol...
agree OHH we need to take the time to appreciate what we have. I health issue 25 years ago bought that home for me.

i am sure Pud will lap up the love  Cool

I have resized DGS 5th  birthday quilt photos.
Good morning.

Overcast so far, such an improvement on yesterday where we got to 30 degrees!

Oh no Mica, I sympathise  ... son's dog had similar surgery several months ago, after a piece of chew toy blocked her up (it was a sharp piece as well) ... it wasn't the cheapest of vet experiences and she had a nice line of stitches right down her middle! The cone of shame added to the misery!

I agree OHH, there are times in our lives which remind us to appreciate the small things and enjoy each day as it comes.

No particular plan, apart from the vacuuming which I'm still procrastinating over ... will do after my morning coffee. If it stays overcast will get out and pull some of those weeds I've noticed!  May have family staying tonight which won't necessarily mean we see in the New Year, they have a newborn  Big Grin

Enjoy the day and New Year's Eve.

Love the quilt Mica.

You know how much I love a good quilt, having invested in a few beauties in my time, and that is an outstanding piece of work mica.

Thank you for showing us.
The quilt is great Mica - very effective and what a lot of work involved. Quilt making is something I think about doing but realistically probably won’t get around to doing - I just don’t have the patience or a straight enough eye to ensue everything fits together perfectly. Lol

Oh dear re the dog- that must have hurt both the dog and pocket.

Hope the ribs heal quickly for your sister KM, and lifting anything heavier than a coffee cup would not be very comfortable I should think.

Have just waved of my visitors, have had busy, noisy, happy week seem to have been on the go non stop with activities out and about every day and late nights too.
One day Had a great time at splash planet which although a lot of people there and a beautifully hot day we had a wonderful time. Didn’t see any other over 70s on the water slides but they were real fun even if I’ve have been a bit stiff since.
Meals with friends, visiting playgrounds, long walks, BBQ with more family (where we were just about blown away so had to hurry to finish and come home for coffee and dessert) etc.

Now sitting with a coffee and contemplating what to do first in sorting out the house, washing, slightly neglected garden or making something to take to a supper this evening. They tidied up well before leaving so that’s not a biggie.

I agree OHH re appreciating what we have and looking after ourselves. My theory is that if I want to keep well and enjoy living not illness then I’ll take good care to keep active, eat healthily and just maintain as much as possible my ageing body and worn out joints etc and not let age be the defining factor of my life  Big Grin   Big Grin
