Thank you, my kind of cooking...
Cheers Mica, that sounds nice & easy Smile
First time in this chat Big Grin but had a great experience reading everything Smile))) hope to hear you soon and never miss a thing again
That seed recipe sounds great Mica - will definitely be trying it as have most of the seeds on hand already.

Welcome Choppy will be nice to have another poster on board  Heart
morning ladies Smile The rain is clearing which means I can clear away more piles of garden waste.

Welcome Choppy89 Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin  Looking forward to having another person joining in the conversation.

I reallllllly like the idea of us being dangerous together lol.

Thanks for the recipe, mica.  That is definitely going into my recipe book.  Can't wait to try it.  A little bit of blue cheese with a slice of pear would be so good with it... but who on earth could eat just a little bit lol. Damm I love blue cheese lol.

The days seem to be slipping away from us as well, Lilith.  I think it's because we are always busy with something.

Part of the stash of fabric my sister-in-law found when she moved house included a large piece of purple denim.  MrK wants to make some old fashioned folding camp stools and thought the denim would be perfect for that.  As I don't really have any use for the denim, I'll wash it today and will sew the seat part for him when he has all the measurements.  Team effort lol.

Yesterday, three of my bird embroideries were finally put on the wall.  Big Grin  Not exactly straight but I don't care.  They are up!  There is room for two more.

[attachment=476]

MrK's chainsaw is back home (again) and I'm hoping he can use it today in the garden.  The cherry tree has a big bulge where the suckers are growing.  He's cut it off before and it needs doing again.

Better get cracking and make the most of the day.
Morning all
Mist around local hills at the moment.

Welcome Choppy89 always good to have more voices here.

Love the framed birds KM

DD and her wee family visited yesterday morning. Finished my pant toille they are very comfy but might not be worn out of the house. They have a dropped crotch which I have not tried before. Anyway they were an exercise in why you should not sew when not well say no more Angry

I am tired of always wearing jeans so next project is pair narrow straight legged ponti pant. Fabric ordered will draft off the pattern today. Kind of fun making me stuff for a change.

Enjoy your day
Good morning.

Sunny but quite cold outside, tomorrow will be very cold.

Nice to be staying at our daughter and family's home after quite a few years and good to have use of their car to do some exploring.

Thanks for the recipe Mica, I will also copy it down. We go through a lot of crackers (with cheese), especially like them with morning coffee  Tongue

Good to have the 'birds' on the wall KM ... the start of a lovely display.

I have finished the baby beanie and added a knitted 3D flower to stitch on the side. I have wool to knit a couple more cardis, one for a newborn due soon which I had better get started on.

Time to get going and make the most of the day seeing as tomorrow not a good one.

Enjoy the day all.
Morning everyone

Gloomy here today too.

Welcome Choppy89 to our awesome group of, what others might think are Slightly deranged voices lol The saying, "You dont have to be Crazy to work here, But it sure helps" is coming to mind. But I love our fun and banter.

I love the Intentional Steps of the pictures KM.. They are sooo pretty. I Like joint projects.. Although in Latter times MrP would get so frustrated with his limits, it was becoming harder to do. but In the Kitchen we worked well together.

Speaking of Him, he is still very sore from his fall. but they gave him something stronger yesterday and it helped. Off to visit today as it is the 100th birthday of the Building. Im looking forward to being involved, kinda a privilege in these covid times.

The shortbread turned out good. only broke one lol. Then he asked me for "Army" biscuits.. Anzacs, so I said Ill make as much as my little bit of butter would cover.. Turns out I had enough Butter, but the Housekeeper hadnt brought any coconut in the shopping, She needs sacking sometimes.. So Ill get some when out today. And Ill make them on Wednesday while Im stuck at home waiting for the house inspection.

Love the sound of those crackers, just not sure that I would like them. Im not really a seedy girl. But certainly a nice simple recipe.

I actually started crocheting some new covers for the walker handles last night. They are a horrible rubbery feel that I dont like. , then I decided it would be alot faster and easier to sew some. So I will do that this morning. My hands have ached all night from the hour or so that I crochet.. Annoying to say the least.

Have a fab day everyone
Very cloudy in the Smoke today, but I think I will do a scoot and a shop anyway, in case the wet comes back.

We have a tenancy inspection tomorrow, should be interesting considering there is still scaffolding up around the village and tempers are frayed. I am going to handover a Replace Plants list so I can repair the stomped on and crushed areas in my front garden, not a lot, just a pink lavender, a small white fuchsia, and white hydrangea. There were a heap of crocuses under those supporting plates too but with luck they will recover on their own. It will be interesting to see if I get them...

I am not holding my breath.  Rolleyes
Hope this is the one...dead seagull etc.

Good luck - surely if they're responsible for plant damage they'll replace them.

The link doesnt work Lilith

Had a lovely afternoon tea..

Started off sucky tho. I took the tags off a dress I had been saving and put it on. Hung to the floor and too big.. It wasnt a couple of months ago.. Sad thing s we were colour co-ordinating and that was a flop and I was grumpy.. And I have a second one.

Going to have to figure out how to cut it down and shorten it, but the skirt is 3 frills.

Any ideas ladies?

Had a lovely sing-a-long. Then the Auxiliary women put on a lovely spread.

Totally put my foot in it, asking Ross's Neice if he was too sick to come to the lounge. He died on April 4th.. They dont tell other families.. I said to Sarah I think it's time they did, I felt sooo bad.

And then as if that wasn't bad enough, MrP ate like a starving child. yes I was the one getting it for him, but he just wouldn't stop. I was so embarrassed.

They sang Amazing Grace that started my waterworks, Im meant to be going up for the Anzac service tomorrow, but Im praying for rain. I dont like sitting their bawling. and MrP said not to come out if its too wet.

I tried a Neenish Tart for the first time.. Yummy, sort of blandish. But who ever made them did a lovely job, I assume. It was soo nice and light and fluffy.

A teacher who was teaching the younger class at the Primary School I first went to up here, I was in form 2, in 1978 was there lol.. Last time I saw her was 8 years ago at my friends 50th birthday party. I was surprised her Hubby wasn't there. Im hoping he hasn't passed. He was the Mayor here for years. Im sure I would have heard if he had passed.

Had a sale while I was gone so that was good.

TM won't let me upload the saved picture of the dress so here's the link...

Oh dammit, it took me ages to get the wretched thing up too. I'll have another go tomorrow, can't remember what the devil I did last time so a process of trying different stuff.

I think I agree Popeye; they really should make it known when someone dies.

Love the dress though.
Morning everyone

Still dark lol. but not as chilly as it was last night.

Meant to be going up to the Anzac service at the home this morning. But Im still waiting to see what the weather is doing.

I also have soo much I need to get done before Wednesday.

I will be asking Old Ross's niece for her Ginger Gem recipe. I brought a couple home yesterday and to say they were light and beautiful doesn't do them justice. They were the best I've tasted. She will be visiting MrP on Wednesday while I cant so that is really cool.

Have a fab day, Im going to make the most of the morning I have left
morning ladies Smile There's a chill in the air, winter must be on its way.

Our nieghbour's dog has been for her daily visit and cuddle Heart

I agree, other's should be told about residents passing away, popeye but I suspect it is all to do with privacy and leaving the family to tell others. I love the dress too. As for shortening the hem, you may have to just bite the bullet and hem it which would mean cutting *gulp*. You could not have the frill, although that is why you bought the dress. Then jazz the dress up with belts and/or scarves. I'm sure others will have better ideas.

Can't wait to see your painting, Lilith Smile

OHH, I don't see why your plants shouldn't be replaced. If they employ cowboys to do the work, then they should factor these things into the cost. And besides, they can charge the contractors for it.

Yesterday I worked on my stumpwork embroidery. The berries have been stitched on and the toadstool slip has been sewn over the padding. I have some small fiddly bits to do before sinking wired leaves through the fabric. I'm not happy with the leaves but this piece is all about learning new skills.

Today I'm taking our friend to one of his many hospital appointments. He has at least two regular appointments a month.

There must be a lot of people having today off as the road is quieter this morning. I'm wondering if they do put those barriers in (and I suspect they have made up their minds to do it) if it will put people off using SH29. We have noticed lots of impatient drivers over the last couple of weeks.

Happy crafting Smile
I guess a fair few people have taken today off so they can get a long weekend. I would have back in the day, lol.

Grey day here again, good day for staying inside and getting some reading and some knitting done, though with luck I might get the mini brassicas I bought yesterday into their pots. I also grabbed a punnet of gold lace edged dark blue primroses. They have to wait though for the bargain half kilo of late season daff bulbs I grabbed to arrive. I'm going to layer those in my biggest pot and put the primroses on top, should be a glorious display in Spring with the primroses doing the job through Winter.

Fingers crossed.
Morning all
Stiff southerly breeze and a chill to go with it.

Like the sound of your spring pots OHH, good luck with your damaged plant claims too. Mature plants are not cheap.

Popeye pretty dress and like the colour.. depending on how much needs to be hacked off shortened I would unpick the under bust seam and removee some length from the top frill, and also  take a bigger seam  between the frills. This will keep it looking balanced.
If you do unpick top one easy way to gather is zigzag over a piece of string much easier to pull on string to gather compared to pulling on normal treads.

Extra volunteer duty this morning so will need to rug up well as the warehouse is cold.
Got to get buttons and some ora ge thread so will pop into local emporium while I'm out and about.

Enjoy 6our day

Thanks Mica.

As I was vacuuming I was thinking about the dress.

I will wash it first. I know one of my new dresses shrunk a little, but can't remember off hand which one. I will also look at the 3rd one I have. Cos they are all the same design and size, just different colours.

Otherwise Ill give them a shot at downsizing them. I dont know if I kept the receipts either, I usually do but had a clear out last week.

Have vaccd the whole house, well not the sewing room lol, done a load of washing.

MrP has been sick this morning, so wasn't going to the service and Im too sore and busy.

Rang the home where Bobbie is to ask that the dr could see her, she must be feeling better cos she's gone on a day trip. So pleased I rang and didn't just go up.

Will make time to go up tomorrow.
