Thats good. Im kinda attached to my number, Ive had it since 1999ish I think.
morning ladies Smile I think we are about to have some rain.

I love the idea of a dead seagull on the roof, Lilith Tongue Along with a dragon of course.

Yep, they can transfer your phone number to new phones. Gone are the days where you have to change your number when you change your phone. If you have a landline you can also use your mobile number for that but with a 07 or whatever your area is instead of the 021 or whatever your mobile number has.

Housework today then the day is free to do what I want.

Hopefully all twinges and niggles are on the mend.

Morning everyone

Looks like it may rain here too. I will remember to take the Brolly in with me today.

Have to pick up the second letter for the week at the other house. Yes nearly 4 years and mail still occasionally goes there. Cos the one stupid thing about our bank is, they let me change my address but Not MrP's. So Im betting that's what it will be, again.

I have the image in my head of the dead seagull too..lol.

When we moved here it was a bit rough new oven wise, cos there's no numbers or symbols on it at all. So all Guess work.
I have recipes in my hand written cookbook with the temp details with different towns in it. The shortbread is the one with the most different temps.

I told MrP last night that I would make him some shortbread on the weekend, cos it doesn't look like Im going to get the lawn done.

He surprised me last night. He asked the activities lady if I could borrow a book for the weekend, its a handy hints book. Different to the selection I have here. So Ill be getting it today and taking it back on Sunday for the afternoon tea.

AND he asked them if they knew anyone that rents out mobility scooters. We were talking about the 6 weeks that I won't be allowed to drive after my surgery. And that it was going to feel like lockdown again , not being able to visit him. And of course not ideal for him to visit here either

So twice in one day he actually did something for me. Who is this man and what has he done with my hubby lol.. I shouldn't make fun but normally he wouldn't do anything like that.

Off to see him this morning so I better rattles the daggs.

Have a fab day everyone
Morning all
Overcast mild but more heavy rain expected later today

Glad your phone arrived OHH your provider will be able to set everything up for you.

That dead seagull and dragon sound fun did dragon breath kill the seagull?

Did get cot quilt quilted and I was knackered  stamina not returned obviously.

Got marmalade on the go this morning and going to have a go at making seed crackers so that will be my flurry of activity for the day

Enjoy your day

I need you to come here and give me lessons! The sim arrived and I popped it in okay and have managed to set the time and date, but that is about as far as it goes, lol. I will have to take the little phone down with me for coffee to a more tech capable friend, being in a dip I can't even get a signal from here.

Getting rid of the landline might have been a mistake...

Ooops!  Big Grin

Still, at least email works!
That excellent news Popeye, long may it continue & make life a bit easier.

Good luck with the phone Hunni.

It has got slightly weirder today; there's now a Santa Claus hand just visible in the top of the chimney. And a slightly singed & chewed book on how to train your dragon.
Who knows what might be next! It seems to be a sort of obsession, putting slightly unexpected things which aren't exactly hidden but aren't immediately obvious either. Never mind, the grandkids will have fun spotting them.

Braved the workroom this morning full of good intentions & managed to get through all 3 small containers of fabric, & chucked a bit out. Also discovered that it may be possible to repair the lid of the oldest box which once had a cushioned lid, depends on whether or not nails can be easily removed from underneath so we'll see.
Only stayed about an hour with MrP.

Put some deep heat on his back and spine. He's really sore. So I helped him tidy his bed, told him to lay down, gave him a kiss and said I would sit with him till he went to sleep. It didn't take long. so they will let him rest.

So Im going to do my games and then measure out the shortbread ingredients.

I got the book I wanted to borrow so Ill rest mt bones and enjoy that.

A busy time, they are having the afternoon tea on Sunday and then an Anzac service on Monday so Ill get a little extra housework done in my free hours.

Lillith what about a Yoda or witch somewhere hidden. Sounds like a photo bombing picture
Lilith your ever increasing creation reminds me of a clown I made when I was creating cloth dolls - I decided he was going to ride a bike - my poor husband we had to go to Auckland to find the perfect bike - every toy shop finally found one at a $2 shop - then I wanted him to have glossy red oversized boots - I would hate to think how long I spent making the boots - I wanted them to look creased at the back - spraying the leatherette the right colour then the gloss finish - nightmare - then I decided his coat tails needed to look as though they were flying - wired them - then an oversized watch - his nose was a problem found a knob off a bookcase - he had to have a HB rugby jersey it was for my grandson that was difficult to find - put a hoop in his pants and made braces - my husband kept saying Corban would be 21 before I finished - must see if I can find a photo
Seems my phone issues were Sparks problem, not mine which is a relief. I have reset date and time about a zillion times now trying to sort it out myself, they fixed it in three steps. Typical.
But I now know how to take panels off to paint ... Soon as I get my courage up to invalidate a brand new warranty, lol.

Oh but it feels good to know I can text or ring someone if I need to, and I do like this funny little phone better than my smart version.

Adventure complete, roll on the weekend!

My daughter recently sent me a photo one of her girlfriends had posted, of a musical clown. She said it rang a bell but she couldn't remember why. It was an eighties toy I bought for her to play Brahms lullaby each night as a signal it was sleep time.  It sat on the dresser opposite her cot from the time she was about six months old till she learned to climb out to have midnight play around fourteen or fifteen months. Then she decapitated it, so I found another which lasted a while longer but was definitely assassinated by the time she turned two.

Memory is a funny thing. But she was delighted to know why it seemed familiar despite her not really being able to say why.

OMG I had a boring un artistic life lol...

I actually wish Id been the "Right" age for the Chucky Doll.. I'd have loved to have one of them in my window lol

We used to do Halloween in a big way, and I like a fair amount of Ghoulie ?Gruesome stuff.

Lol I laughed at Decapitating OHH lol...

A Sister friend and I have always said.. you have to Hug some people you dont like, Just to know how Big to dig the Hole..   And we are always offering help with a shovel and Alibi lol
Aha...one Yoda & one witch, complete with cat.
There is no right age for something we want to do - unless it's have babies. There is an argument for that season I think. But dolls? No. Remember my bff gave me a Barbie doll for my 70th. It was my first one.

And the only I hope, lol! (I actually prefer chocolate...?)

That sounds brilliant Jan - & far more difficult too, than simply painting it.

I've made the witch & cat look a bit like a cloud so they'll probably spot that first & then find the other things; I had fun doing it anyway.

Me too. Big Grin
morning ladies Smile We had rain overnight! The light outside is weird with the sun trying to come through clouds. It's almost like colours are being highlighted.

I love the sound of your painting, Lilith. Great fun! I've been watching the Mandalorian and there is the cutest baby 'Yoda' in the series. And you can't have a witch without a cat or broomstick Tongue

We're having a quiet day today. The road was really busy yesterday, and I mean really busy. We haven't seen traffic like it. I guess it was a combination of school holidays, people taking an extra day's leave for a long ANZAC Day weekend and the rugby in Hamilton.

Happy crafting Smile
Morning all
Another wet day.
Lilith love the pictures you are drawing in my mind Big Grin

Ladies we would be dangerous if we all got together..

Got to do some cutting out yesterday but no stamina for sewing. I am feeling pretty good now, DH still -ve

Got marmalade  made and made some seed crackers all seeds and water easy and tasty will make them again.

Been reading in bed so must move shower and breakfast calling

Enjoy your day
Morning everyone

Started raining late yesterday, still is, but its blowing onto the ranch slider, so Ill open the front door when I get up.

Ohh I agree Mica, the fun we would get up to.

I do hope Lilith we get to see the pictures you are weaving together.

I've never had a barbie doll either OHH.. But Im with you. Chocolate is better lol.

Im making shortbread for MrP this morning.. I wasn't going to roll and cut, but have decided I will, cos it makes more that way. No fancy shapes tho, just rounds, only cos I like uniformity and Im not farting around with a ruler lol.

I've had a good look through the cleaning and hints book I got yesterday from the home. Some really good ideas in it. I'd love it for my collection. Pretty much homemade cleaners but they have all been checked to make sure that they work and dont damage things.. Alot of White vinegar of course.

Have had a question on my last dress listing, wanting to know measurements.. So I've told them I'll do it this afternoon. Cos Im not a fan of baking later in the day unless urgent or unexpected.

Probably should have thrown the ingredients for some scones too, but Ill see how I go. I got some marked down shaved ham on Thursday, its Niceley smoked, which is odd cos Im not a huge fan of the strong smoke taste, so maybe Ill make ham and cheese on toast since the oven will be hot anyway. Then I can call it my dinner lol

Better get things done and get the baking done..

Have a fab day all

Oh, I do so hope you're right, Mica! Big Grin Big Grin
I think I need that seed cracker recipe...
I think I'd quite like that recipe too, it sounds good.

Exactly what I thought too KM, you need a cat as co pilot. Smile

I've no clue where the day went I seem to have been busy all day & here it is damn near gone.

Did a bit more on painting - & managed to muck it up which is all too easy with lots of different layers but eventually managed to sort it out. Its really a very nondescript little painting with quite bland colours, very ordinary till you look closely but I had fun doing it.
