ohhhhh OHH, I am so sorry  Sadsmile   I'll have a whiskey with you Drink
I'm trying to convince myself checking the Cats to Adopt listings is a Very Bad Idea. Except there
are at least two possible fur babies who really need me...

And some of them are free!!

Bad Hunni. Bad bad bad Hunni.

Ohhh OHH Sorry for your loss, but always remember that the last thing you did for her Highness was the kindest thing to do for her.

Give yourself some time... There will always be some needing a new lovely home with you. Especially at this time of the year

Be gentle with yourself.

NO, NOT bad at all. In fact, I was going to suggest that you get another cat soon. Because it helps, if only because you're so busy adjusting to the new boss that it eases the ache of loss.
So just keep looking. Smile
OHH sorry that your feline friend has gone over the rainbow bridge.
You will miss her.
They all take up a place in our hearts.

be kind to yourself
So sorry Hunni. Take on a new and needy cat and give it love. When my long time tabby died with FIV the vet almost immediately (and by coincidence) had a tiny ginger kitten, starving and with a broken leg, left on the doorstep. Against much advice I took her on and as well as having my grief soothed I ended up with 17 years of gingery feline love. Never say no to potential love.
So sorry to read this OHH. May your feline friend RIP. Should another puss find its way into your home it will be very lucky indeed Heart
morning ladies Smile We have a foggy start this morning after some good rain over night.

You're not bad at all, OHH Heart for looking for another Royal Highness. There are so many cats needing great homes out there, especially this time of the year. One will wander into your heart, just wait and see.

Housework for me today and maybe I can get into that corner of the garden and finish (hahahaha) the garden. One of the dahlias I thought was lost has sprouted. Just as well I was too lazy to dig it out Big Grin The miniature dahlias have popped up, I must put a marker stick in so I don't forget again where they are.

I'm hoping to spend some time with the quail today some time. I haven't held a needle for a few days now.

Happy crafting Smile
Morning everyone,

Very dark and raining here.

Yes keep the heart open OHH, and Im sure a new special baby will come into your life. We always say we won't get another, but we always do.

I do find tho that more and more rentals ( Private anyway) dont allow pets so it's something else I have to consider for the future. I understand the council flats here allow one cat. So maybe where I want to be will be the same.

I heard back from the property manager and she wants photos so I told her I would do some when it stops raining. Ive done some but the worst place Ill have to do when I go out this afternoon. Since Missy likes to be in the garage in the morning.

Off to visit MrP this afternoon for the music.. I admit it gets very repetitive but it is nice to sing along. Then the weekend is mine.

I will endeavor to set up the printer, and cut out a teddy. I rested my knee yesterday so didnt do a thing lol

Have a fab day everyone
Good morning.

Some rain overnight,  now cloudy with more rain expected. Every bit counts!

The bag of mixed dahlias I planted have mostly sprouted and some have flower buds. It will be a nice surprise to see what eventuates  Smile

We have a lovely scent being given off by Star Jasmine in full flower now. It has covered the fence nicely in 2 years and the hedge cutter can come out of redundancy to keep under control from now on!

No plans today other than baking, off to the Waikato tomorrow for family visits and more family time on Sunday.

Thinking of you today OHH.
Lovely ladies thank you for your kindness. This catfree business might be harder than I thought, I keep seeing her out of the corner of my eye, and it sets me off again.

But this too will pass.

I often see previous Babies OHH.. It will be very comforting.

Be gentle with yourself and do what is right for you.

Yes, it's a very weird time having to adjust to the missing 'being' in your life and all the routine that went with them  Sad  I wonder if I'll eat my own words of 'that's it, no more' ........
I've been catless for too long; several months this time so am determined to get another after xmas. Besides, Madame le Dog needs her training refreshing a bit & our previous cat excelled at that.
Mind you I think cats sometimes choose their humans. Years ago a cat camped on our doorstep for three days in the rain; I didn't want another cat as we had two at the time but I gave up & let him after that effort.
Raining here, we both got soaked on our walk & I thought it would continue all day, but it eased eventually so was able to head out & get the needed string, xmas labels & bread.
Our first cat just moved in and stayed too lol. And the sad thing was no one came asking about her. I asked around and no one seemed to know who she belonged too. She was a gorgeous tortoiseshell and we had her for 17 years Heart
All out four legged family members arrived out of the blue, even the dogs and we wouldn't have had it any other way.
Maybe I need to put a welcome note on the front door.

Instead of the wreath of wine corks...

Do both.. The Next member of your family may like sharpening  the claws on the wreath of corks. lol.

Well the Happy Trio that comes into the home for entertainment was down to one today.

The Older Gent, Colin who is 92 fell and broke his hip, got back to the rehab hospital to catch Covid so is back in Middlemore Hospital.

His partner Lill, had some sort of event, the ambulance were with her for 4 hours before they took her to hospital, sent home 36 hours later, for the same thing to happen again. So now they are both in Middlemore.

So Neil the loner along with his keyboard that supplies everything including harmony back up did the hours singing today.. I was looking song facts up for him lol.

And I left them both looking forward to the cricket, so I hope it goes ahead despite the rain.

Got my tea on the way home so now I can play and talk to myself and Madame all evening
I was talking with my practice nurse today, in for a couple of hours because she has long covid and is on phone only non contact duties. She tells me my GP also has covid, so I think I'll be avoiding the surgery for the forseeable.

Those of us who haven't had the bug are getting fewer by the day...

The med centers are soo short staffed.

But yes I'm doing the same thing. Just getting repeat prescriptions for as long as I can.

I fully intend on Not getting Covid, so still wear my mask in shops and the rest home etc.

we will win OHH

Add me and husband to the list of people who haven't had Covid. But Take my Daughter, granddaughter and SIL off the list - they got it 2 weeks ago.
I really don't want to go anywhere at the moment - certainly not without a mask.
It sounds horrible, according to daughter and SIL.
