Hope the 3pm call goes well, Popeye.
Weather doing it again here, hot & sunny to start & now about to drizzle; no doubt it will hold the actual downpour until we head out for our walk later, dammit.

I ventured out early & managed to get all the Xmas parcels sent off, pick up a library book which was on hold & find some smaller bags for the lavender bags, having somehow managed to get some which were just that bit too big.
Well - I say lavender bags & that's what they start out as but then other things come into flower, the rose, jasmine & then I usually add some rosemary & just a bit of Oregano & this year some eau de cologne mint as well - so will perhaps do those this afternoon if I have any energy left by then.
Those little bags sound gorgeous, Lilith Heart

mica, it was a bloody nightmare.  Right up until 15 minutes before the money was due to be transfered she kept saying she couldn't afford the house and would only pay $35000 less than the agreed price.  And then she wondered why the actual move took so long.

I thought this might brighten your day.  One of my standard Lemon & Lime roses  was so top heavy with rose it bent over and I had to prune it back.  Two massive buckets full of roses and two massive armfuls.  I felt like a florist lol.  But the nice thing is I can share with family and friends.  Anyhoo, enjoy Smile

Fabulous they are lovely colour
Been a long Very hot humid sticky day.

My knee is full of arthritis, he gave me another steroid shot for Christmas, Cos he could lol.. Said he felt like Santa even if it only works for a little while lol..

I need a new knee.. but he also said Im soo young, and any more weight I can lose will help. I agreed. So he will see me in 6 months and hopefully I will lose the other 11 kilos I aim to lose by then. he laughed when I said I'm working through the pain and that one day I wouldn't be put off doing the lawns to the extent of using a walking stick at the same time lol

Had the meeting, and it went well. MrP isn't happy but understands so long as the manager says he can come back, that he needs to be where he was.

But the bonus was as the Dr heard of things that I had complained about he was shocked and said he will get on board with us and have the place investigated.. So Ive forwarded all the emails.. So fingers crossed something will actually happen. MrP has said while he's not happy he now understands that really its the only option. Even the Dr said that we are two halves of the Pear and need to be able to see each other. And the other 2 local homes , one doesn't do long term and the other isn't hospital level care.

Ohh Kiwimade those Roses are Beautiful. Never seen any that colour. My Stepfather loved roses, well all flowers really.. Oddly I like white flowers, and Mum hated them lol

The lady picked up her buy, and she was happy. I had a good look in Davids emporium but by then I was hot and weary from standing, so will go there again when Im up that way. I did get two hand fans which have wooden ends and white fabric. My aim is to put diamond drills on the end pieces.

What a cheeky mare trying to get a $35k discount on the house. Thats plain rude. She shouldn't have over extended herself when she signed the papers.

Fingers crossed the weather starts behaving, friends are hoping to have a picnic at Hamilton lake on Sunday.

Time for some Missy time
morning ladies Smile Another wet, humid, day today. I'm going to get outside and weed for a bit before it becomes really hot.

I'm glad the meeting with the doctor was productive, popeye.

Not a lot happening this weekend, just pottering about. I do need to do some Christmas baking, but my oven is slowly dying and needs replacing. But that replacement won't be until next year sometime. I might do some unbaked slices if I can find my recipes. It will be cooler in the kitchen too.

I have a little bit of unpicking with the quail but that won't take long to do. I should finish it over the Christmas/New Year break.

Happy crafting Smile
Morning everyone

Yeah horrible and humid here too. I suspect Santa might be rained off, although they are doing it later in the afternoon for a change.

Yeah the Dr was shocked, when I told him what had been going on. Ill get my book out and write up another email to make sure he got everything.

Im nipping over to Pukekohe to pick up some of the stuff I didnt get yesterday.. shouldnt be too long tho.

The steroid has kicked in YAY.. I always thought they took a while. but Ill take what ever time I get out of it.

I may end up getting another batch of fruit mince pies done depending on when MrP comes back etc.

Drove through Poplar and privet yesterday so the head is nasty... pills should kick in shortly tho.

Was talking to my twin brother yesterday. Im lighter than him.. Ive Never been lighter than him lol..

Have a fab day all
Good morning.

Overcast and warm. Hoping the rain takes a backseat, the sun actually broke through and stayed yesterday afternoon!

Glad that things are falling into place for you Popeye.

A bit slow today after a late, fun night with people I'd never met before (apart from DH, lol).

Expecting family plus dog today and overnight.  Look forward to newborn cuddles.

The cross stitch is bigger than I expected, better get going on it now I have a hoop if I want it done!

Have a good day all.
Morning all
Damp day here

Good progress Popeye thats one less thing to be concerned about.

Friend popped in with some snapper he caught, so guess what we had for dinner last night  Big Grin

Will get on and make xmas cake this morning going to try out new to me gluten free recipe, the one I usually use tastes nice, is moist but falls to bits so fingers crossed for this one.
Was going to clean and condition the lounge furniture but its humid and it will take too long to dry so that will get done on next sunny morning ( no housework done in the afternoon here rule :cool  )

20/24 blocks sewn so will get the 3 done today and square them all up might even get them sewn together since it is forecast for rain all day

Enjoy your day
I have the same rule, mica lol. Omggg it is so sticky here, I've given up weeding and made a start on the housework. Only the vacuming and floor washing to do.

The Furry One is finding all the cool spots lol. He sits in the doorways where there is a good cross breeze. Only problem is we have to step over him as there is no way he is moving lol.

Time for MrK's eye drops and a cuppa Smile
I have tried out the 'Cool' instruction on the heat pump remote and it works a treat, so I am very happy to know it is there for our sticky days.

It seems to blow right across the bed so I won't use it at night, but for these humid Auckland days it is perfect.

I got J's daughter to lift her rain lilies for me yesterday and have them planted in a corner of my garden, and together we have got very near to finished on the sorting out of the flat, which is a weight off my mind. To the extent I slept in till ten this morning, so must've needed that catch up! I also walked to the other end of our row of flats last night and checked out the refurb of the the unit. I am so jealous. New kitchen, new bathroom, fresh paint, and all the outside deck painted a fresh new PALE grey instead of the awful dark heat storing grey we have. Still, it gives me hope ours will be done to match in due course, they can't leave one unit out of the twelve so very different.

I lust after those new bright clean overhead cupboards though, sigh...

Sleeping in???!   Big Grin Big Grin

Oh, you lucky human, you. The dog (instructed by our previous cat) does not recognise this term & has no intention of ever doing so.

We may have overdone the early walk this morning as both of us seem keen to do nothing very much now. Almost all wrapping is done so if I regain some energy later I may do a bit of weeding.
Or not.
Been and done, all my shopping is done.

Apart from a couple of apples for more fruit mince. And some marg.. I certainly dont use much of that these days.

I decided not to get a gingham dress.. Cos Id only get a few weeks wear before it would either be too big or cool to wear it.

MrP sounded good. And is quite happy with the knowledge that we have a Dr on our Side. Will get some of the ladies to write down there experiences at the home too.

NEWS FLASH.. OMG Im also 5 kilos Lighter than MrP... And thats a first. When I got him he was a 9 stone model, skinny lol.. And now hes the chunky monkey as he called himself...

Headache still hanging around..ggrr But my knee is Wonderful lol
I wonder if your doc would give me one of those Christmas presents in the hip popeye? The bugger is biting me today! But, I got new library books, groceries, and had chats with a couple of people, so that's my socialising uptodate. I can go back to weekend laziness now...

Treacle Pudding is counting down the days till her freedom. Two sleeps to go I have told her...

I hope you can OHH...

Im going to be enquiring about getting them at my med centre in future. There's no need to be in pain when they can give you a break.

Oh Miss Pudding must be getting excited. Missy has never been outside.

Our Parade has been postponed until tomorrow.
Morning all
Rain and more rain

K9 alarm needs resetting 5.50am this morning, now they are fed and toileted they have all gone back to bed. I am wide awake Rolleyes
Guess I will hunker down with my book.

Just the borders to sew onto quilt top  then batting and backing sandwich to get ready to quilt it. Not sure how I will quilt it yet waiting for inspiration.

Miss treacle pud settling in well OHH?

Enjoy the day
morning ladies Smile More rain but at least it is lovely and light so gentle on the plants and garden. I need to finish the weeding though and might just 'work' out in the rain. Won't be the first time I've done that lol.

Miss TP (Treacle Pudding) has certainly landed on her paws with you, OHH. Heart I hope she is settling well.

The Furry One had another minor seizure last evening, they seem to be coming a bit more frequently now even with his medication. He recovered pretty quickly compared to others this time round though.

MrK is confident he will be driving by the New Year and is even suggesting he could drive Christmas Day. The two hourly drops seem to be doing the trick.

Might be able to work on the quail today Smile

Happy crafting Smile
Morning everyone

Plenty of rain here too. Im a little chilly this morning.

Not good re the early start Mica.. The sun seems to be rising far too early these days lol.

Ohh Kiwimade I hope your boy gets back to normal soon. And good re Mrk's eye.

My headache hasn't eased much. I even put some deep heat between my eyebrows to help clear things.. I happened to glance out the kitchen window this morning and the massive tea tree/ manuka is is full blossom so I guess that won't be helping. Been sneezing my head off this morning lol

Other than nipping up to get a rubbish bag later I wont be doing much. Although I might put some paint on the fans I got the other day. Then once dry I can sort out some diamonds for them. I plan on using a couple of laminating pouches to make covers for them, so when I put them in my bag the diamonds will be protected.

Have a fab day everyone
Pud is a nice cat, and fairly easy to live with so far. I think we have sorted the food preferences out, last night's roast chicken dinner revealing someone has been spoilt just a little beyond what I consider acceptable and yes, I did give in and shared a couple of little pieces, the bit with a perfume of periperi on it though was rejected out of hand.

We do have an issue though. The litter box is too small, even positioned on top of a 'drip' tray it is still too small and herself has been demonstrating the inadequacy of it. So I have ordered a new one, bigger, and with higher sides shaped to reduce accidents that require me to bend, fetch and scrub, lol.

So, she is slowly beating me into shape!

One more sleep before we discover if I have made the grade as the new permanent servant...
Good news about Mr K's eye, that has to be a relief to all.

I hope Ms Pud copes well when she ventures out Hunni, fingers crossed.

Its tipping down here - it would, wouldn't it, just when I'd decided on some garden work - so when it eased off a bit I decided on our walk.
But oh no, no, not so fast human - we got as far as the park when it decided to rain harder & continued until we came home again. No sign of gorgeous greyhound this morning, he's clearly far too intelligent to brave such weather & was probably still tucked up in bed, clutching his little pink teddy bear.

Unlike the mad neighbours - he may never speak to us again! Smile
